1. Find that Change Jar of Yours- Believe it or not, you may have something worth holding onto in that change jar of yours at home. This should be the first place that you look since it can be accessed immediately and you do not have to go out and about to look for coins. You just may be amazed with what you may find.

2. Coin Rolls- Step out to a bank and buy rolls of coins from them. Make sure to ask for rolls that were brought in by people and not the ones that the bank has rolled, as these rolls contain much newer coins compared to what businesses and people bring in. Looking through these rolls you may find something good that you really didn't have to pay for.

3. Buy From A Coin Dealer- Many coins worth money can be found by consulting a coin dealer. If the dealer does not have the specific coin that you are looking for it may be possible to order it. This can be the best method if you are looking for a specific coin or you have strict requirements for the coin you want to purchase.

4. Classified Ads- This way may not be as safe as the other since you cannot trust unknown sellers, but it is worth a try. In this case before buying you should have the coins appraised to make sure that you are not buying a forgery. With classified ads online they tend to change each day.
